ITW Hi-Cone is a leading supplier of high-speed multi-packaging systems for the worldwide beer and beverage industries. These systems include machinery for applying carriers to cans and bottles. Within Hi-Cone, the Quality Supervisor is responsible directing, coordingating, and monitoring quality activities for the Production Department.
Scope- Incumbent we seek will ensure compliance with all Quality System Procedures. Position reports to Plant Manager. The position will interface with other quality supervisors at other locations, work well withother departments such as systems service, interface with customers and have the ability to handle multiple assignments, priorities, and schedules.
Customer QA contact: a. Troubleshooting b. Customer plant visit c. Corrective action documentation d Arrange customer RGA material pickup. e. Assist Hi-Cone Service personnel with carrier related service calls at customer plant.
RGA carrier evaluation testing and documentation of corrective action implementation and follow-up.
In-Plant non-conforming material analysis and disposition.
* Coordinate new product testing and ensure specifications, documentation, and operator training is in place. * Responsible for all in-plant test equipment calibration, verification, and maintenance of records. * Maintain Raw Material Certificate of Analysis records and monitor reported data.
Perform physical testing and reporting of Material/Sheet: * Coordinate tensile and recovery testing with Itasca Mfg. Services QA. * COF testing * Regrind quality analysis
Responsible for plant level customer audit coordination.
Prepare necessary documentation and meet with customer auditor along with Plant Manager.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Perform specified Quality System internal audits.
QC training of Production Operators and Shift Supervisors.
Setup, monitor, and analyze SPC X-Bar & R Control Charts.
Education and Experience: * Minimum of a 4 year college degree or equivalent in technical or related field is required. * Three to five year Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience is required. * Must be proficient with personal computers and use of Microsoft Office software, including Access and Excel.
