Quality Technician
Masterson Personnel is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technician in Chaska. Interested candidates should submit resumes.
Hours are 07:30 am - 4:00 pm.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
To provide quality assurance support aligned to increase outgoing quality levels, and support overall customer satisfaction of our products.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Provide in-process inspections and monitoring, analyzing the quality of manufacturing processes and products.
Develops and maintains control charts for monitoring / improving performance.
Provide audit support in designated areas.
Use measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensional and functional requirements.
Assist with data collection and analysis.
Provide special project support to quality engineering team.
Facilitates problem solving / process improvement efforts within unit.
Lead and/or assist in the calibration of inspection, test, and measurement equipment.
Observe all applicable safety rules and reporting any unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to operate hand tools (precision measurements tools).
Must be able to interpret drawings.
Must be able to lift (from all positions) normal maximum weight of 50 lbs.
MACHINES, TOOLS USED ON JOB:
Precision measuring equipment (e.g., micrometer, paint mil gauges, etc.), and computer terminal.
Preferred: Use of CMM or similar equipment and understanding of control charts.
TRAINING / SKILLS REQUIRED:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
1 year experience using metal fabrication measurement tools/techniques preferred.
SUPERVISION BY OTHERS:
Must be a disciplined and performance driven worker who can perform with moderate work direction.
