Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for all human resources functions in a 9-13 plant region. Work directly with the Regional Operations Director (ROD) in support of the region's financial and performance goals.
* Individually comply with OSHA and company safety and hygiene standards * Support Safety system programs as directed by the ROD * Support Employee Relations and Labor Relations * Recruit and manage all salaried position replacements and internal promotions * Onboard all new plant salaried staff members * Train and coach effective plant level EOE Reps * Support payroll and leave submissions within the region * Interpret policies for both leaders and employees * Support Talent Management Initiatives * Support Training and Development Initiatives * Travel to plants to conduct employee surveys, ethics investigations, performance management, terminations, and other activities directed by the ROD * Counsel to RODs and Plant Managers on compliance issues (FMLA, ADA, EEO) * Support effective Employee Engagement programs at the plant level * Coordinate with plant and risk management personnel for effective case management of open workers’ compensation cases * Assist with recruiting for hourly positions * Prepare leaders and company position for Talx hearings (unemployment) * Facilitate annual benefit enrollment * Accountable for regional EOE Metrics to include Safety, Labor Cost/lb, Turnover, Recruiting, and Employee Engagement
Qualifications:
* 7 Years as a Human Resource Generalist in a manufacturing environment * Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or Operations Management * Business Unit knowledge and business acumen * Other manufacturing Experience is helpful * Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Time and Attendance Systems, and Internet * Must have great inter-personal skills for interacting with customers and employees * Must have effective written and verbal communication skills Our World Class Suite of Benefits includes:
