Reliability Engineer
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze performance, identify and implement measures to improve equipment uptime and the effectiveness of equipment/asset maintenance throughout the Site. * Serve as key advisor to the Site on predictive/condition based maintenance techniques while reviewing cost estimates, specifications, drawings, maintenance repairs and modifications. * Develop plans for, and lead the rollout of condition based monitoring and predictive maintenance techniques to the site. * Key interface with external Reliability centres of excellence and share and implement industry best practices. * Develop and lead Reliability Centered Maintenance Program to meet 98% uptime on business critical equipment. * Develop analysis methods for determining reliability of components, equipment and processes. * Establish and meet reliability & work planning metrics. * Lead investigations/assignments into reliability problems using a data driven approach and develop/design appropriate solutions based on scientific problem solving. * Support Operations by providing technical support on equipment and reliability issues. * Conduct an analysis of reliability problems and investigate the reliability required for the particular situation considering the cost limitations for equipment up/down time, repair/replacement costs, weight, size, and availability of materials/equipment. * Review job plans for all critical equipment for maintenance effectiveness. * Lead and direct the work of consulting engineers and equipment suppliers. * Develop and manage a reliability program for all critical assets at Carlow. * Develop action plans to enhance maintenance yield of key process plant. * Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Experience
* Minimum 3 Years experience in maintenance organization with an understanding of equipment maintenance both electrical and Mechanical. * Experience in Predictive and Condition Based Maintenance techniques and their application. * Certification in Six Sigma. * Safety, GMP, Environmental and Validation Policies and Procedures * Irish, European and International Codes, Standards and Practices. * Good understanding of equipment reliability techniques such as RCM, FMECA & Root Cause Failure Analysis.
