Description

The Sterling Chip and Saw Mill in Brunswick, Georgia is looking for a talented Reliability Manager to join its team.
The Reliability Manager will be expected to lead the reliability team in the use of industrial reliability practices, incorporating new practices and technologies as applicable. This position will support and facilitate the development and application of maintenance best practices through close collaboration with the engineering and manufacturing maintenance organizations; as well, as external benchmarking of industry best practices.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing the maintenance management process using the computerized maintenance management system (MP2)
Conducting the affairs of the reliability programs
Ensuring the timely completion of all preventative and predictive maintenance
Organizing/conducting teams to ensure value added policies and procedures in the maintenance department
Researching and collecting value added ideas to improve plant processes which includes researching and developing financial criteria to justify project validity, documenting projects in approved formats, and coordinating project scheduling in house and through contractors
Leading the development of craft skills and knowledge.
Ensure facilities electrical systems are operating reliably, efficiently and in compliance with all electrical safety regulations.
Support personnel in problem solving and troubleshooting of PLCs, vision systems, mill information systems, electrical distribution equipment and manufacturing processes.
Basic Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations and reliability maintenance
A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience high-speed manufacturing environment
Extensive PLC Programming and Troubleshooting Knowledge
Knowledge of BSR
Knowledge of Controll Logix Systems
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelors of Science degree or higher in engineering or a technical field
Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional
Knowledge of MVM logic
Manufacturing Experience in Wood Products
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Advanced level of knowledge in electrical/instrument maintenance
High mechanical maintenance aptitude
Process Excellence Six Sigma Green Belt
Building and ground maintenance
Electronic testing and equipment servicing
Maintenance planning and scheduling experience
Solid working knowledge is required on process improvement skills, capable of teaching other employees
Team leadership skills capable of working effectively with employees on root cause analysis, problem solutions
Solid analytical thinking skills
Knowledgeable of statistical process control and an ability to develop standard operating procedures
Familiarity with environmental regulations
Project management skills
Familiarity and use of CMMS systems
Advanced experience and capabilities with programming and troubleshooting PLCs, AC drives, PCs and process networks.
Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting plant electrical distribution systems.
Knowledge of electrical safe work practices NFPA 70e
