Develop innovative repair solutions to observed & predicted distress on components of P&W Military jet engines (Operational, F119, F135) so as to economically return the engine to service. Detail design of repairs for almost all engine components from inlet to exhaust. Prepare Technical Data for use by engine overhaul depots & repair units. Participate in the prototyping of new repairs. Support the customer in the resolution of field supportability issues. Typical activities include: researching operating environments of components; understanding functionality of components and their interaction with mating parts; understanding the nature and extent of service related damage and developing strategies which will return damaged parts to service; create technical documents that provide the engineering requirements for repairs including a high level sequence of operations forming the basis for manufacturing operations sheets; working with a diverse engineering disciplines to insure repairs are safe, durable, and meet the quality requirements of OEM parts; and ensuring task assignment are completed to schedule and budget requirements. Global Services Engineering (GSE) is an ACE Gold Site. The diversity of experience has proven to be an excellent development ground for engineers interested in growth.
