Description


The New YorkResource Directoris responsible for the overall schedule coordination and trafficking of creative, client services, strategy, production, intern, and freelance resources. The Resource Director (RD) will be responsible for ensuring effective utilization of resources across projects for existing clients and new business. S/he will maintain key relationships with design and client staff management, finance, HR and IT for studio/resource related issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Studio Organization
· Assemble project team recommendations in a timely and efficient manner based on forecasted needs and identified skill sets
· Maintain scheduling tools including weekly resource schedule and freelance reports, and communicate regularly with leadership team
· Manage freelance assignment process, approvals and budget and coordinate intern programs with HR
· Develop best in class process handoff between client service, creative and production teams including file development procedure
· Work with technology support departments to anticipate equipment needs (for new hires)
· Coordinate seating assignments with designated Facilities Manager
· Connect with other Landor offices to share needs or opportunities
· Facilitate training sessions with key department leaders
Team and Talent Champion
· Proactively attract new talent and pipeline for freelancers on a regular basis
· Coordinate with HR to maintain a systematic approach to recruitment in line with local strategic plan and local employment legislation
· Encourage learning and development for employees through project assignments and training opportunities
· Work with HR to champion post-project 360 reviews and ensure case studies are created and uploaded on our intranet
Finance Liaison
· Partner with finance to ensure proposal pricing is commensurate with the effort required for delivery
· Partner with finance to manage independent contractors for all departments
· Partner with finance to monitor project and department profitability and make recommendations to improve profitability metrics
