Job Description: Job#: JID1035655 RockTenn Mill and Converting in Aurora, IL, is looking for a Safety Manager to be responsible for the safety progams for the entire facility including both the mill and converting operations. If the Safety Manager has the ability to temporarily assume employee relations responsibilities while our full-time HR Manager is on leave it would be a plus. Specific responsibilities are as follows:
Additional safety specific responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and procedures. Conduct facility safety audits Develop and teach safety training sessions Review proposed and final regulations to assess impact on facility operations All other aspects of safety management Additional temporary duties if qualified: Employee relations and/or labor relations. Required Skills: BS Degree in related field Bi-lingual is a must 5+ yrs experience in manufacturing environment in a safety leadership role Working knowledge of safety regulations for general industry required (OSHA 1910). Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel especially) Ability to work independently Employee relations and/or labor relations a plus
