RockTenn Merchandising Displays has an opportunity for a Sales Project Coordinator in Redmond, Washington. The objective of the Sales Project Coordinator is to acquire project details and coordinate transfer of information from customers through the established workflow from concept development through order fulfillment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: - Communicate as required with external customers to assist in meeting their needs. Attend meetings, manage administrative aspects of customer interaction, and support sales in handling customer requirements. - Gather customer requests for Design and/or pricing. Assist Sales in providing complete Project Request forms. - Assist Designers in obtaining information required to respond to customer requests. - Provide complete specification packages to Estimating to get costs and prices for materials and Assembly. Obtain estimates to provide new costs when quantities change or customer reruns items. - Develop sell prices with Sales and provide quote letters to customer. - Submit accurate, complete, and timely work order packets to Manufacturing and Assembly PC(s). Work Orders should be free of errors and submitted early enough to allow for effective scheduling and efficient production. Provide clarification and support as necessary during order fulfillment to ensure customer needs are met. - Set up items in the AS400 system. All information should be accurate including description, customer number, customer item number, cost, cross reference. Ensure that all costs associated with an order are captured and included in the standard cost on the item file. - Assist Production Project Coordinator in managing Alliance inventory to include billing the customer, zero-valuing, scrapping. - Assist Assembly PC in managing Customer Product/Miscellaneous inventory. - Actively participate in new technology introductions and/or implementations. - Work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional counterparts to respond to customers, complete orders, improve processes, and enhance company performance.
Required Skills:
Bachelor?s Degree or commensurate industry experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the AS400 system, Word, and Excel. Experience with project management software is a plus.
Possess 3 to 5 years of work experience within an office environment and have manufacturing process understanding
Be organized and detail-oriented about work
Be able to effectively prioritize work tasks
Possess effective inter-personal skills and be able to manage competing interests from the roles listed above to ensure that an order is processed correctly and completely
