Description
General Summary:
This position contributes to the success of the Pepsi Beverages Company by completing the period and quarterly closing process, providing accounting support and financial analysis of multiple field locations, (production facilities and warehouse/distribution centers) and ensuring internal reporting financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
Perform key financial & accounting tasks:
- Review & analyze key Balance Sheet accounts
- Perform detailed reviews of the financials on a periodic basis
- Identify areas of risk & opportunity and communicate to field partners
Provide support to Planners for forecasting
Subject matter expert in key areas & systems
Take leadership role on projects and ad hoc requests
Act as a liaison with a BU focus between HQ and the field
Use knowledge of the business operations to act as a team leader
Provide a high level of service to all internal & external partners
Partner with internal Audit and Control and Compliance team to ensure process & procedures are documented and SOX compliant
Qualifications
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED:
Strong organization, presentation, project management and communication skills.
Strong analysis and problem solving skills
Supervisory experience - influencing skills
Microsoft Office experience - strong Excel
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required and 3+ years of related experience. Working knowledge of Business Objects, Essbase and Oracle Preferred
