TheSenior Buyerposition will have the following responsibilities: · Maintain fill rates and operational support to the Cleveland Operations · Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance(delivery, quality, cost, working capital, R&D assistance, customer service, etc.) · Identify and quantify the economic opportunities for strategic projects · Lead strategic projects as required · Perform as subject matter expert for strategic projects relative to commodities · Interface closely with all relevant departments to identify product and suppliers that meet Lincoln Electric expectations · In conjunction with commodity strategies, identify, evaluate, and develop qualified suppliers · Audit suppliers' facilities and capabilities as required
Requirements:
· Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field is required · MBA, CPM, or CPIM certification a plus · 5-10 years procurement, materials, engineering experience in manufacturing environment. · Prior experience with Electromechanical products is preferred · Excellent negotiation skills, with an understanding of cost analysis · Proficient in Microsoft Office · Experience with SAP preferred
