Description:
Responsible for purchasing commodity products, chemicals, equipment, and supplies. The buyer is responsible for all aspects of daily order management and is able to solve complex problems with poise and professionalism. Supports the business through timely purchasing, expediting, problem resolution and cost controls. The ideal candidate for this position has excellent communication and problem solving skills and readily establishes collaborative relationships with others. This successful candidate is well versed in sound purchasing practices and comfortable with data manipulation and analysis in Microsoft Excel and / or Access. This position requires versatility and flexibility in terms of priority management with primary focus on the service of our end customers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
:
Respond to purchasing messages, placement of stocking and / or drop ship orders, vendor contacts for expediting and issue resolution. Reviews and resolves customer returns implementing appropriate SKU remediation. May participate in process revision and definition related to the broad purchasing role.
Desired Experience
:
Professional: 5+ Years
Educational: Bachelors in Business Management or Related Field. APICS certification a plus.
