Description
1. Make decisions that support delivery on time to our customers in alignment with business priorities. Provide flexible solutions if customers have changes. 2. Good understand and create or manipulate raw materials, bills of material, routes, and other manufacturing data (such as safety stocks and re-order quantities). 3. Understand the Material Resource Planning (MRP) process and utilize computer based MRP/ERP systems 4. Review and confirm new sales orders in ERP system with promise dates that manufacturing can meet, and interface with all local/remote associates in cross-function that impact DOT. 5. Warehouse Coordination & Management, and Inventory System Training to Associates 6. Drive continuous improvement in the Buyer and Planner roles and ensure data integrity in the ERP system 7. Suggest, implement, and maintain improvements to the existing planning / inventory infrastructure. 8. Understand the basic manufacturing process for all products - to the extent that it improves the competency to plan product. 9. Global Travel & Development of Network with Planners. 10. Work with vendors for raw DOT and L/T improvement
Qualifications
1. University graduate Degree in Manufacturing, Operations or Logistics 2. 5 years + work experience in production& material planning ,and vendors management in a senior capacity in big multinational manufacturing companies is ing the experience in leading the team is preferred. 3. Good understanding of MRP/ERP system (such as JDE is preferred.) 4. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at any level. 5. Strong ability to drive implementation plans and schedules. 6. Experience in overseas purchasing will be an advantage. 7. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team 8. Good written and spoken English.
