What You'll Do
John Deere Dubuque Works is seeking aSenior Engineering Analystto support profile cutting and forming of current and new product fabrication within Skid Steer operations. Within this role, you will:
* Be responsible for the programming of laser and Numeric Control (NC) press breaks.
* Provide production floor support including methods of operation, efficient material flow, balancing work between machines, setting time standards and supporting the maintenance and operation of this process.
* Work with production engineers, supervisors, plant engineering and the production floor and translate these inputs into a production process that meets factory goals for safety, cost, quality and productivity.
* Help diagnose machine downtime issues, perform profile nesting to align with the needs to support current production rates.


We need an excellent communicator who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will have an Associate's degree within a Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology discipline. In addition, we require:
* Knowledge of laser cutting, metal forming, industrial engineering methods, manufacturing processes and methods/efficiency analysis associated with manufacturing of structural weldment components.
* An understanding of manufacturing costs.
* A self-starter with the ability to execute a variety of tasks with little supervision.
* Effective interpersonal skills and ability to successfully work with salaried and wage personnel in a team environment.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
A strong candidate will also possess:
* Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities.
* Working knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
* Experience in lean manufacturing.
* Experience with SAP and Product Data Management (PDM).
* Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools, specifically Pro/E.
* Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools.
* Experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems and work measurement.
