Currently, we are seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to join our rapidly growing Information Technology team. The Sr. Network Engineer will be responsible for the company's Global Network Strategy and Operations for data, voice and security.
What will I do at this company?
Work with other members of, and provide direction to, the existing network team to deliver consistent, reliable, available network services, both data and voice, to locations worldwide
Play a leading role in growing our network at corporate, distribution, manufacturing, and retail locations
Work closely with other teams in IT and the business to further our mission to Make All Athletes Better.
Focus on network monitoring/uptime, capacity planning, network security and WAN Compression/Application Acceleration
Have experience in vendor negotiations and relationship management, with the goal ensuring our vendors of choice consistently deliver a superior product to our company
Continue to gain knowledge and grow skills in a rapidly expanding and rapidly improving enterprise class network
Mentor and coach junior level employees, from Help Desk to Network Engineers, increasing their knowledge, capabilities, and value to the organization
What does this company need from me?
8-10 years of experience in Network Architecture, Support, and Operations with increasing responsibility.
Experience in the following areas is preferred: Cisco Unified Communications (UCM, UCCX, Unity) Cisco Routing and Switching QOS Wireless LAN and Mobility Network Security (Firewalls, VPN, IPS, etc) Collaboration Technologies Capacity Planning Network Management Demonstrated leadership and team building The ability to think through complex problems, and to identify potential impacts In depth working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, and other LAN/WAN protocol Excellent troubleshooting skills, especially LAN/WAN issues using common network analysis tools Working knowledge of common desktop and server operating systems Experience with network media, including fiber-optics, Category 5e and Category 6 Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or a related field
