Goodrich ISR Systems Princeton has an immediate opening for an experienced Sr. Program Manager. The successful candidate will work with a multi-division team to develop, lead and manage a major multi-year program that identifies and successfully captures and utilizes advanced Visible to IR detector technologies, technical expertise and capabilities, and product production capability in the development of new cameras. The incumbent will be responsible for the overall management of the program and any sub-programs or projects within the larger effort. The program will span different specific product lines and technologies. He/she will have management responsibility for any program or project managers supporting the larger program. As such he/she will direct and coordinate the efforts of the program or project managers, participate in early and continuing assessment of program risks and opportunities, the formulation of work breakdown structures, and will maintain oversight responsibility for the financial plan of the overall program and any supporting programs. Performance in this position requires a solid grounding in visible to IR detector technologies and/or camera development as well as in company products, processes, policies and technologies. The position requires extensive experience in program management, and a high level of people management skills. The successful candidate will have demonstrated successful experience delivering large multi-year $10+M programs to plan, on schedule and on budget with completion of all deliverables.
Principal accountabilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
1. Work closely with the Lead Systems Engineer and the team to develop and support the approval of a detailed multi-division (multi-value center), multi-product, and multi-year program plan.
2. Lead in the identification and recruitment of key contributors and creation of the Program team.
3. Exercise program management responsibility for the personnel on the program.
4. Make final decisions with regard to the negotiation of program scope, contracts and contractual changes including coordinating preparations of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operating budgets, specifications and financial conditions of contracts for the program.
5. Participates in new business development and/or in expanding existing product lines with customers.
6. Serves as a principal interface for the supporting business units and the specific programs or product lines involved.
7. Directs the preparation, analysis and reporting of cost, manpower and schedule status, and initiates corrective actions.
8. Monitors adherence to program plans, schedules and budgets for those programs under his/her control.
9. Prepares and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program(s) to the division, business unit, and customer management.
Overtime expected/required
Travel Required: 20-30% Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Program Management required; Masters Degree preferred.
Requires 13+ years of experience in program management.
US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain a security clearance
Skills Required: 1. Expert at developing and delivering on time and budget a detailed large program's scope, set of deliverables, plan, budget and schedule.
2. Experience leading the development of advanced detector based products and/or cameras that operate in the visible to IR frequency range preferred.
