Description
1) Support the Technology Innovation group and beverage product development efforts through concept development and technology research2) Identify and/or develop novel ingredients and technologies and formulate new beverage products3) Design and execute research to generate technical recommendations in support of business needs4) Conduct productions at bench top, pilot plant, and plant levels for shelf life, stability, sales samples, scale-up, commercialization and other needs5) Support projects and work effectively in a cross functional team environment to achieve clearly defined objectives and deliverables6) Maintain updated lab notebooks7) Complete documentation and reports8) Assumes other responsibilities and performs special functions as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
Requirements:
Strong communication skills will be utilized to effectively partner with internal and external functions including Marketing, Consumer Insights, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Sensory, Analytical Services, and Ingredient Suppliers to manage Technology and Product Development from bench top through commercialization. - Understanding of Product Development techniques including formulation, stability testing, product/package interaction, sensory and consumer testing - Basic technical understanding of ingredient functionality and process technology for application in new product development - Sound understanding of Experimental Design - Good problem solving skills - Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills - Demonstrates strong personal initiative and ability to work both individually and in a team environment - Able to analyze complex data to make clear technical recommendations - Able to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment - Experience in juice or beverage product development a plus - Able to handle a fast paced and constantly changing work environment - Familiarity with functional nutrition food and beverage trends a plusB.S. or M.S. with 1-3 years experience is required. Experience in consumer foods or beverage industry is preferred. Food Science degree is preferred
