Shift Superintendent

REPORTS TO: Plant Manager or in absence to the Operations Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reports food safety and quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate action.


• Compliance to plant production schedule meeting required compliance to schedule standards


• Review and validate all direct employees payroll reports


• Administer and comply to all GNC policies and procedures


• Manage employees to improve efficiency, safety and quality


• Take active role in safety, promote and encourage safety practices


• Provide feedback to upper management for continuous improvement


• Delegate, supervise and hold employees accountable


• Develop direct and indirect employees


• Provide leadership to direct reports


• Provide support to other departments to achieve GNC directives


• Maintain GMP’s within all areas of responsibility


• Investigate concerns as they take place, implement corrective actions and audit areas to ensure overall effectiveness


• Adhere to all GNC safety policies and procedures


• Follow all production policies, procedures and guidelines


• Adhere to processing procedures


• Follow all raw material usages, investigate variances as required


• Adhere to material usages and investigate any concerns


• Develop goals to direct reports in line with GNC overall objectives

(Training/ Experience / Skills)         

• 4 Year College degree or 5 plus years in managerial role


• Clear communicator, consistency and follow up.


• Ability to monitor processes, materials and surroundings: prepare data, time studies, SOP’s,


• Ability to coordinate the work of others, facilitate meetings,


• Better than average computer skills.


• Assure all paper work is accurate and accounted for.

• Allergen Training


• All GNC Safety Training Required


• ALL GNC Production as Required


• Coordinate, facilitate all employee training needed


• Take an active role in GNC projects
