Title: Site Coordinator Location: Australia-South Melbourne * Leading Rail Signalling and Control Organisation * Dynamic Project Environment * Permanent role based in South Melbourne Invensys Rail is a leading, global, rail organisation, with offices across the APAC region. Our organisation delivers across the full spectrum of design, development, manufacture, implementation, test and commissioning of railway signalling and control products and systems. We are now recruiting for a Site Coordinator to be based in our head office in South Melbourne. The Site Coordinator will be primarily focused on work for a current project involving the development of a new large-scale control centre. The Site Coordinator will be responsible for installation and test activities for projects and will have involvement in specification, design, implementation and test of systems containing systems hardware. More specifically this will include: * Management of installation and commissioning of systems. * Design and maintenance of system test plans and system transition planning. * Supervision of installation subcontractors. * Specification of system equipment in conjunction with software and other system engineers. * Provision of information to document authors, assisting in the production of Maintenance and Training manuals, as required. * Provision of customer training/support, as required. * Purchase of equipment, producing designs for electronic equipment assembly, system test, installation and commissioning, under the direction of the Project Manager or Project Engineer. * Designing systems to customer requirements and quality levels and within required timescales. * Liaise with other departments of the Signal Division. * Provide technical advice and costs for hardware components for tendered contracts. * Demonstrable ability to adapt to change. Applicants should have: * A degree in electrical engineering or similar together with industrial experience; * Experience in deploying networks in industrial environments; * Experience in construction and fitout of office environments; * An ability to troubleshoot and diagnose various types of faults; * Proven ability to supervise installation staff; * A working knowledge of AS/NZS3000; * Knowledge of railway signalling and experience in the rail environment is desirable; * In addition, knowledge of Fibre Optic Cable Installation procedures is advantageous and the successful candidate should be willing and able to learn new skills and willing and able to comply with standards and procedures and aim for continuous quality improvement.
