Respected leader in the breath alcohol instrument industry seeks engineer to design, implement and test software/hardware targeted for embedded systems. Efforts will contribute directly to new instrument development as well as to modifications and support of existing instrumentation.
Requirements:
Position requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science,Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent - Three-seven years experience in (1) software development for instrumentation built on embedded systems,(2) C/C++ program development in conjunction with real time operating systems and (3) utilization of software version control tools - Solid written and oral communication skills
Position preferences:
- Fluent in object-oriented programming design/methods - Solid skills in developing applications and SDKs for Windows CE/Mobile platform - Experience working directly with customers to develop product software specifications - Experience producing technical documentation including change log, source control documentation and technical references/ bulletins - Experience producing end-user documentation including operator guides and help files - Ability to design for manufacturability including assessment and inclusion of in-house manufacturing capabilities in design phase in order to reduce production costs - Exposure to instrumentation design and packaging Personal characteristics:
