The Development Programs Procurement Lead for the Hamilton Sundstrand Power Systems Enterprise will be required to lead a wide variety of Supply Chain Management activities associated with new product development. This includes establishing and developing plans to meet cost targets while developing sourcing strategies for new programs in conjunction with those of the Commodity Management organization. The individual will support a facility that employs 650 people and is responsible for producing auxiliary power systems, environmental control products and small turbojet engines for the aerospace industry. This individual plays a key strategic and tactical role in the organization as the focal point responsible for all purchasing aspects associated with the development program team. The individual must be focused, skilled, and persuasive, as the coordination and success of this individual is vital to the facility.
The role will focus on taking new products though the development life cycle
while working in an Integrated Product Team structure.
A key activity will be to develop and execute standard work within the
procurement function for both development programs up to and including
transition to production and for supply base transitions including:
Execution of development programs in terms of delivery, quality and design
to cost targets.
Direct interface with senior management both within the Power Systems
BU and within the supply management functional organization; and serves as the
link between the business unit and the supply chain organization.
Developing p and meeting key program metrics for the team in addition to standard
commodity metrics as defined by the Business Unit and Supply Management
control towers.
Lead the organization through ACE Silver recertification and beyond and
develop and execute standard work for development programs up to and
including transition to production
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred - discipline preference for Supply Chain, Engineering, and/or business.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 4 years of working experience
IND. EXP: Aerospace, Defense, Energy, Automotive, Manufacturing, Industrial, Government
Position may include travel up to 10%.

Minimum of 3 years Project/Program Management Experience (PMI certified a plus)
Prior Supervisory experience with a track record of managing to plan and achieving customer satisfaction
Export Control and Government Compliance knowledge is preferred
