Sets up and operates plasma spray equipment and machine tools to build up worn parts and to salvage defective machined parts by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Cleans components and prepares for plasma spraying process.
Selects nozzle to accommodate type of powder to be sprayed and screws nozzle into place on metalizing gun.
Measures object to determine conformance to specifications.
Operates portable metalizing gun to fill cracks, holes, and apply coating to restore flat or irregular surfaces of machined, forged, or cast objects to original dimensions.
Sprays protective coatings of corrosion resistant metal onto metal objects.
Records completed procedure on proper documentation and forwards part to next work station.
DARO is a FAA regulated facility, and compliance with such rules is a condition of employment. This position requires US citizenship or permanent resident status.
After a period of training on 1st shift, this position will transfer to an off shift.
This position is located in Grand Prairie, Texas.
