This position will be based at Eaton's headquarters located in Cleveland, OH.
The Specialist Logistics Technology and Distribution will: Utilize six sigma methodologies and tools to drive process and performance improvements in warehouses and crossdocks. Select and implement logistics technology such as warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, inventory visibility and inventory optimization systems to support material movement efficiency improvement. Conduct operations audits of crossdocks and distribution centers. Manage regional Vendor Managed Inventory and Crossdock programs to deliver value to the organization by process and performance improvements using six sigma technologies. Manage and enhance supplier performance to deliver bottomline savings to the enterprise. Manage contract and rate negotiations. Manage efficiency improvement initiative. Evaluate, review and improve operational performance of key crossdock in the North American Logistics Network. Develop and publish corporate policies and procedures to provide guidance to suppliers to ensure adherence to financial, regulatory and operational compliance Requirements. Compute transportation spend budgets for over 25 plants in North America. Compute transportation inflation monthly rolling forecast. Perform financial analysis for facility consideration. Develop and present inventory reduction ideas to senior management. Manage order-to-delivery setup for new product introductions.
Job Qualifications /Educational Requirements Education: BS degree in Industrial Engineering, or related, and minimum 5 years of experience in either the job offered or as Supply Chain/Logistics Analyst, or related. Alternative is MS degree in Industrial Engineering, or related, and minimum 3 years of experience in either the job offered or as Supply Chain/Logistics Analyst, or related.
Specialized Skill Requirements:
MAPICS and Logistics Tech Systems, including warehouse systems, EDI Integration, Transportation Management Systems, inventory visibility, and inventory optimization systems
Certifications: Certified Six Sigma Black Belt required. Region North America - US/Puerto Rico Country United States
