Title: Specification Analyst Location: Iowa-Dubuque Every day, our customers go to work with the earth. What You'll Do At John Deere's Construction & Forestry in Dubuque, Iowa, the Specifications Analyst will process and monitor Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) in Product Data Management (PDM Link) for engineering/factory change decisions. You will investigate and correct specification errors to ensure accurate information for the factory. In addition you will: * Manage Bills of Materials in SAP and complete tasks in C-Project. * Process daily error reports. * Participate in inventory accuracy and ECN status meetings. * Perform audits for specification accuracy and work with multiple internal functional areas to resolve discrepancies. * Assist with managing inventory for current and new product updates. * Provide specification expertise to support engineering teams and factory functions.
We need a dedicated team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will have sound analytical and problem solving skills. Ideally you will have a bachelor's degree or related equivalent experience. In addition we require: * Experience using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel. * Experience in database query and manipulating data in multiple systems such as web applications and Business Object databases. A strong candidate will have working knowledge in SAP, PDM-Link and C-Projects applications as well as advanced Excel pivot tables, macros and formulas. Experience working in a factory operations environment, product engineering environment and experience with engineering tools, systems and databases are a plus. Work experience in a team environment and understanding of bills of material will help you perform the responsibilities of this position.
