Large Corporation located near Garden City NY needs:

Sr. Accountant

Responsiblities:

-Company’s consolidated financial statements.

-An ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple projects simultaneously, has a hands on, get it done approach. Familiar with month-end closes, analysis of balance sheet and profit and loss accounts, journal entries, accruals, general ledger and special projects.

-Prepare journal entries & account analysis for month-end close

-Prepare and distribute month-end, quarter-end & year-end P&L statements

-Distribute daily cash report to Mgmt & handle daily banking matters

-Participate in completion of interim and year-end audit work


Requirements:

-3-5 years accounting experience

-Prior Retai experience is preferred

-Good communication skills, both verbal and written

-Proficient in Excel and an ability to learn Company’s accounting ledger package

-Ability to work out problems independently and in a timely manner and ask for help if needed

-BA/BS in Accounting and at least three years general accounting experience.
