Responsibilities/Description :
The Senior Financial Analyst for the US area will participate in the financial planning process and assist in developing actions to ensure the organization meets annual operating plans. Review and report the financial performance of the organization to the VP, US Area and US Area Controller. Design effective processes to track financial metrics against expectations and plans including predictive measures that identify potential shortfalls. Partner with the business and financial leaders in all regions of the US Area to provide financial support and analysis on key business issues and decisions. Reports directly to the US Area Controller.
Qualifications :
Required: * The legal authorization to work in the U.S. * Minimum 5 years experience in finance and accounting * BBA in Accounting or Finance * Experience partnering with operations management performing complex financial analyses. * Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including US GAAP, SOX and internal control frameworks. * Proficiency in finance and accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications. * Experience with integrated accounting systems, specifically Oracle * Strong personal initiative to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. * Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Preferred: * MBA and/or CPA preferred
Job Specific Responsibilities/Qualifications :
* Support the annual business planning process, monthly forecasts and weekly risk and opportunity meetings with operations management. * Evaluate the financial return of potential capital expenditures and review the capital planning process. Utilize financial valuation models to properly evaluate capital investments and ensure lease v. buy decisions are evaluated as appropriate. * Implement and update a financial scorecard for the US Area to maintain consistent financial reporting data and analysis. Strengthen the link between operational metrics and P&L reporting. * Advocate for changes to the plan or projects when appropriate and ensure they are reflected in the current outlook. * Assist the organization in optimizing supply chain spend. Identify and recommend actions in high impact areas for cost and productivity improvements. * Ensure major contracts are properly assessed for financial risk and return. Support key supplier negotiations and ensure optimal economics for D-R. * Track the financials of key growth projects and initiatives so informed decisions can be made that support the strategy of the organization. * Provide financial and accounting guidance and support to the Parts Operations and Engineered Solutions organizations and support on-going activities and initiatives. * Assist in evaluating the financial return of long range strategies and plans as developed by the Global Field Operations team. * Provide ad-hoc financial and economic analysis as required.
