We announce the opening of  the position of  “Senior Account Manager”, a role within our Fund Accounting Department where the qualified candidate will conduct day-to-day management of accounting services to assigned Fund clients and review and approve the daily/weekly/monthly delivery of accounting packages to the clients. The candidate will also be responsible for approval, invoice, payment, and subscription/redemption processing, and the answering of the due diligence or otherwise routine information requests of the client, their investors, and other third party service providers.

The position primarily includes responsibilities of overseeing accounting reports for a variety of funds with varying structures and instruments traded. The  role will involve frequent client phone and email contact as well as cooperation with other professional accountants in the Fund Accounting Department and other staff in the Tax Services Department.

The Senior Account Manager will have responsibility for the development and motivation of assigned support staff by providing them with leadership, coaching, and guidance. The candidate should have extensive technical experience and have developed their career in the hedge fund industry.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the hedge fund administration industry, with a core competency in hedge fund accounting and tax issues
• CPA preferred
• In-depth knowledge of hedge fund accounting concepts such as partnership accounting, income, loss, and capital accounts allocations, and management and incentive fees, and share calculation including equalization methods
• Ability to manage an intensive client workload, meet demanding filing and other deadlines, and strike a positive balance between maintaining open, constructive client relationships and effective delivery of the required services
• Ability to work comfortably with technology such as our internal accounting platform, software such as online pricing vendors and standard spreadsheets
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Proven ability to take ownership
• Detail-orientation
• Managerial experience a plus
• Strong team and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
