Position Summary

The candidate will work on Unmanned Systems, Cargo Systems, Range Systems, and Control Systems. Strong analysis skills are required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Candidate should have a BSME or BSAE (Aerospace Engineering) and have knowledge of structural strength of Airborne systems. The candidate will be responsible for systems engineering of the design of airborne electronic components, vibration and static strength analysis, and testing of hardware. System level documentation for flight airworthiness will be required. A background in aeroelasticity, and store captive flight is desired.

Basic Qualifications

As a minimum the position requires an accredited BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 10+ years of relevant experience. Applicant must be a US citizen. Demonstrated FEA competency in ANSYS is required and a working knowledge of computer design with ProE and/or Autocad is required. Must be able to perform these functions as a self-motivated, empowered, team player and be able to communicate effectively in written and oral form. Familiarity with standard office software tools is expected. PowerPoint presentations will be required.

Additional Desirable Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of thermoplastic composite design, analysis, computer modeling for sandwich type construction of multiple piece parts is required. Demonstrated experience in working with thermoplastic composites, particularly in manufacturing.
