Job Description
Summary
Responsible for MRP related functions in support of the Thousand Oaks manufacturing operations. Areas of focus include Raw Materials Availability, Usage and Planning, Work Order Issuance, Bill of Material Structure and Maintenance, Item Master integrity, and Forecast Accuracy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
•Ensure execution of MRP Planning activities are aligned with the facility goals relative to sales and inventory levels. •High level of interface between Master Planning group, Purchasing, Mfg, and Quality Control •Maintaining integrity of the MRP system and associated processes. •Directly responsible for Maintaining BOM's, Item Masters, and system variables. •Maintains monthly Master Production Schedule in ERP system •Performs monthly reconciliation of BDS and Finish Goods, and all associated transactions. •Maintain Inventory accuracy and integrity through ongoing Cycle Count program. •Responsible for departmental cycle count program execution, integrity, and training. •Maintains control over adjustments (+/-) / Scrap / Obsolescence for all inventory locations. •Works with management on Inventory Control and related projects. •Interfaces with Purchasing to optimize inventory deliveries/levels in support of the manufacturing production plan. •Provides support/direction to Planner and Buyers with regards to material deliveries and inventory levels. •Works closely with manufacturing to ensure efficient and cost effective transition of Raw Materials to Finish Goods. •Ensures integrity of data transactions in accordance to ERP system requirements. •Provides leadership and guidance to Planners in the day-to-day operations of production control. •Keeps Management apprised of schedule adherence as well as deviation. •Compliance to cGMP, FDA, OSHA, and company/departmental SOP's •May perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Must have demonstrated skills in Leadership, Organization, and Communication both oral and written. An understanding of Manufacturing Resource Planning systems (MRP) and lean Manufacturing techniques. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, problem solving skills. The ability to work in a fast paced continuous improvement environment and initiate/foster change. Must have good computer and math skills.

Education and/or Experience
BS in Operations/Logistics or similar degree; 5 - 7 years related experience. APICS certification preferred.
