Sr Quality Assurance Engineer
The Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for quality planning and the implementation of the Hydra 70 program quality requirements at key suppliers within the Armament Strategic Business Unit (SBU). The job is centered in the Philadelphia, PA area; however frequent travel will be required to support local and remote suppliers. The primary job responsibilities include developing test plans and reports, conducting regular Technical Data Package (TDP) compliance and process audits, ensuring that all contractual and quality system requirements are understood and flowed to the suppliers, reviewing and maintaining procedures, developing variation reduction plans, and the resolution of internal and external quality issues. The position is also responsible for monitoring and reporting supplier quality performance and initiating preventive and corrective action, as required. The role requires frequent interface with suppliers, manufacturing operations, customers and the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
The individual must be a self starter, able to work independently and with minimal direction. An ability to interface with multiple functions at various levels will be required. Key skills will include the ability to influence through effective communication, both written and verbal. The individual must possess excellent facilitation and problem solving skills. An ability to act in a professional manner and demonstrate ethical behavior is required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline.
4-5 years work experience. Prefer experience in quality engineering, DoD/Aerospace environment, ISO/AS 9000 Quality System Standards, internal/supplier auditing, material review board (MRB) activities, and failure analysis/problem solving abilities.
