Salary: $35,000 - $47,000

Job Summary:
Tulsa Company is seeking a Staff Accountant. This is a Full-Time position working Monday Friday. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares selected consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.
Analyzesthe effects of transactions upon account relationships.
Evaluates alternative means of treating transactions.
Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
Prepares international general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
Prepares international payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; converting data to general ledger system; obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements.
Prepares materials for presentations
Perform accounting procedures as directed by Accounting Manager
Conducts bank reconciliations
Period close reporting
Additional tasks as needed.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Access, Excel, Quicken and Quickbooks Pro
iSeries or AS400 experience a plus
Proven experience and knowledge in Accounting and FASB Rules
Strong reporting skills with ability to pay great attention to detail
Deadline-oriented with proven time management skills and productivity
Strong verbal communication and general math Skills
Takes initiative with a positive attitude to provide fast quality service
Applied knowledge of accounting practices
Manages conflicts and criticisms in a constructive, appropriate manner
Double-checks all work to prevent any errors
