Dresser-Rand Company (D-R) is a leading multinational supplier of products, services, systems, and complete compression solutions for the world-wide Energy Industry. The Stores Attendant's primary function is to maintain a Central Store area (Receiving, Tools Crib, Maintenance Crib, Shop Service, etc.) To mark, store, disburse, stage, maintain and deliver parts, products, and materials (not to replace Int/Ext Production Truckers in moving production parts.) Receive and disburse measuring devices, jigs and fixtures, and blueprints. Maintain inventories and records or generate transactions relative to these functions. perform yard and shop labor by cleaning up yard and shop areas and remove refuse, maintain yard and parking surfaces. Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred):
Required: * Prioritize workload and work assignments * Follow written and verbal instructions * Must be a U.S. Citizen * Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds on an occasional basis throughout the day * Must have basic mathematical knowledge and pass the TABE test.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
* Verify the identification and quantity of materials and products delivered to receiving area in agreement with bill of lading, packing list or purchase order. * Note any visible damage on bill of lading and notify receiving clerk, supervisor, or group leader. * Mark or identify received items as required. * Move or arrange to move materials and products to the appropriate storage location or workstation. Use of fork trucks is restricted to within the Weld Shop or areas where material is stored, or for use in delivery to receiving or storage locations only. * Use of cranes is restricted to within those areas where stock is stored and is limited to the movement of stock materials to or from storage bins or racks in those areas. * Receive, locate and put away materials and products into storage locations. * Record receipt of materials and products into storage locations. * Pull, record disbursements and shortages, stage, and deliver stores inventory and work in process materials and products. * Transactions will be generated by the following, but not limited to paper and pencil, computer terminals or remote devices. * May prepare or receive lists of parts to be manufactured for customer orders and prepares order shortages. * Report any problems causing delays or interruption of schedules. * Work with supervisor, section managers, schedulers, and coordinators in checking, recording and reporting parts status. * Issue tools to employees, identify and record tool and to whom issued. * Receive purchased tool, grinding wheels and materials and store in specified locations. * Check receiving slips and report any discrepancies to Tool Clerk office. * Keep physical inventory and check with Tool office records as necessary using computer. * Report shortages of stock to the Tool Clerk’s office. * Record new jigs and fixtures as turned into Central stores. * Locate and mark locations of all new jigs and fixtures. * Keep work area, tools, and equipment clean, safe and orderly. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Freight bills, bills of lading, purchase orders, receiving reports, routers, pulling lists, shortage lists, shop order records, bill of materials, computer reports, blue prints, drawings, marking instruments, reproduction machine, motorized and non-motorized material moving equipment, non-remote controlled cranes, pallets, pans, boxes, bins, scales, computer terminals, printers and related equipment, and various hand tool. Drill gauges, micrometers, file racks, order pads, and file cards.
