Subcontract Procurement Specialist - #11022 Position Summary Supports new product development relative to source selection, materials/services, contract negotiation, order placement and on-time delivery. Adheres to applicable export/import laws and regulations. Ensures flow down of unique customer terms and conditions. Obtains the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management. Responsible for developing, negotiating and administering highly complex and high risk subcontracts, ensuring compliance on supplier cost, schedule, legal and performance criteria. Responsibilities: 1. Purchase complex and/or high dollar aerospace components utilizing major manufacturing processes (complex machinings, sub-assemblies, electronic assemblies) and can read blue prints. 2. Negotiate long term agreements and high dollar value orders 3. Effectively communicate and interact directly with customers, internal cross functional teams and all facets of the supply chain organization 4. Act as a change agent to improve, monitor and manage supplier performance Job Requirements : Qualifications: 1. Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field (e.g. finance, law/contract law; program management), or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through eight or more years of increasingly responsible experience in contract administration or procurement. MBA is a plus. Certificate in Purchasing Management (CPM) or Contracts Management or APICS desired. 2. Support material/services acquisition for new product development 3. Assume a principle role in formal cost reduction programs for new and legacy products 4. Coordinate the flowdown of program specific customer terms and conditions to component suppliers 5.
