Position Summary Experienced, self-motivated purchasing professional required to make key contribution to Supply Chain team through expert management of complex electronics procurement in the development and production environment. Obtains the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management. Responsible for developing, negotiating and administering highly complex and high risk subcontracts, ensuring compliance on supplier cost, schedule, legal and performance criteria. Responsibilities: 1. Participate in new product introduction teams, performing key procurement actions. 2. Procure electronic assemblies in a dynamic, quick-turn environment. 3. Review, coordinate and implement Engineering Orders (changes). 4. Participate in DTC initiatives, including determination of manufacturing and test requirements. 5. Contribute to achievement of CSD Supply Chain initiatives, (ex, inventory reduction, WADPO goal. Job Requirements : Qualifications: 1. Bachelors degree (BA) in Business Administration or related field (e.g. finance, law/contract law; program management), or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through eight or more years of increasingly responsible experience in contract administration or procurement. Certificate in Purchasing Management (CPM) or Contracts Management desired. 2. Experienced in electronics commodity management, including source selection; 3. Background in new product introduction, including participation in IPTs; 4. Skilled in all phases of negotiation (preparation, execution, formalization of results); 5. Demonstrated success in deploying commodity-driven cost reduction strategies; 6. High-level supplier management skills.
