The Pratt & Whitney, Commercial Serviceable Assets (CSA) organization, in East Hartford, is seeking an intern to augment the work effort of the Sales team.
The focus of CSA is a fast paced, "out of the box" thinking organization that provides customers increased value through selling creative material solutions.
Intern will:
- Help develop unique tracking metrics which will be used across the Organization.
- Work with members of the CSA Sales team to learn the business--includes an in-depth understanding of the CSA organization and how all the entities work together to generate sales/EBIT.
- Closely coordinate and develop full understanding of financial impacts; customer base/requirements/industry; pricing vs. market value; Quality role and responsibilities; Operations roles and responsibilities, WIP/inventory/Model management.
- Learn and understand aftermarket material sales business and then identify opportunities and generate sales.
- Have the opportunity to learn a very exciting and diverse business.
- Learn/enhance basic skills in customer interaction, negotiating skills, industry knowledge.
- Become familiar with power plants and how to structure deals.
- Put together financial reports and PowerPoint presentations for MM Managers and customers.
- Work side by side sales team.
- Develop a working knowledgeable in all work areas of CSA: Sales, Operations, Quality, and Financial.
Employment timeframe is May through August 2012.
