Job Description:
WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR
The Supply Chain Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for receiving and kitting operations to support manufacturing schedules.
.Maintain safety and good housekeeping standards. .Insure kits are picked accurately and timely to support the master production schedule on the shop floor. .Insure inbound material is located in a timely manner and reflected in SAP correctly. .Participates in the selection of new employees. .Coordinate with the Production Planner and Production Management personnel to support the manufacturing requirements. .Insure material required for aftermarket requirements are picked and prepared for shipment per required schedules. .Expedites the movement of in-process material and /or finished goods to support all customer demands. .Help Implement and maintain programs such as JIT, kanban, etc. .Supervise department staff. .Insures inventories are accurate and adjust materials as required. .Meet the manpower / overtime budget. .Input and download data from automated systems. .Lead special projects as assigned. .Trains, develops and evaluates employees. .Complies with terms of the union contact.
Education and Training Minimum:
B.A./B.S. degree in supply chain management, , manufacturing systems, industrial engineering, or related field. APICS CPIM desirable and/or ISM CPM certification a plus.
Experience Minimum:
0-3 years in operations, warehousing or production planning.
Experience Must Demonstrate:
.Hands-on knowledge of ERP/MRP II processes and inventory control systems. .Proven ability to interact successfully with other manufacturing professionals .Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements and continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
.Effective analytical ability. .Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. .Proficiency with computer technology applications that support the materials planning process; high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel. .Effective interpersonal skills. .Effective oral and written communication skills.
