SUPERVISOR - NETWORK ENGINEERING

Swedish Medical Center is looking for an outstanding SUPERVISOR - NETWORK ENGINEERING to join our Information Services team!The Supervisor - Network Engineering is responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting an enterprise-wide network infrastructure including both data and voice communications.This person supervises a team of Network Engineers who provide the technical expertise for the network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wide area connectivity.
Candidates must have the following skills:
Experience with high-level network design and implementation.
General knowledge of structured data cabling.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment.
Comprehensive familiarity with the design, programming, installation, and maintenance of data communication software and hardware, and the establishment of software and hardware standards.
Understanding of common industry transmission techniques, codes, and techniques.
Proficient in router and switch configuration.
Working knowledge of voice telecommunication systems on data networks.
Supervisory responsibilities include:
Accountable for the performance of direct reports on a daily basis.
Participate in the performance evaluation completion process by providing input on staff.
Recommends hiring, promotions, and terminations.
Administers disciplinary action on staff including developing performance improvement plans.

Four years of data processing experience of which three years was in networking systems.
