Supplier Engineer 4

Supplier Engineer collaborates with Program Management, Engineering, and Global Supply Chain Subcontracts/Procurement functional management and supplier management teams to ensure that all procurements meet or exceed the requirements of external and internal customers. Manages implementation of Supplier Assurance processes, including, supplier quality requirements, supplier classification designation (Critical, Key and Standard), source selection evaluations, performs supplier quality audits for ISO 9001 & AS9100C and supplier performance assessments. Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically reviews supplier performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list. Evaluates supplier non-conformances, negative performance trends and failures and determines supplier root cause and corrective and preventive actions are implemented. Manages source inspection processes and coordinates with customers as required. Utilizes supplier performance data bases and supplier quality management system assessment tools to provide objective evidence of supplier's capability to perform. Keeps management apprised of supplier performance, quality status and risks.
Position requires technical and quality expertise and able to plan and perform with limited management direction on complex technical issues and quality findings.
Extensive travel is required for position.


Basic Qualifications:

9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.
