Supplier Quality Specialist 3

Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes and products. Documents and reports audit and assessment results. Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements. Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work. Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives. Resolves routine issues and concerns.

• Analysis and Corrective Action
Complete knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action of non-conformances to reduce scrap, minimize rework, reduce cost and improve quality to meet all requirements. Develops, reviews and approves product definition data including emergent design changes.

• Boeing Knowledge
Complete knowledge of Boeing's organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and products required to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation.

• Detailed Supplier Knowledge
Complete knowledge of manufacturing, materials and assembly processes. Has the ability to read blueprints and an understanding of shop practices and manufacturing flow. A fundamental knowledge of business systems for example organizational structure, manufacturing processes, risk mitigation, capacity planning, past/present delivery performance, design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, and supplier data.

• Industry/Gov Standards
Complete knowledge of industry, military and government specifications, handbooks and standards.

• Procurement Processes
Complete knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed by various procurement departments/disciplines. Complete knowledge of the interactions between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-Procurement processes (e.g., Engineering, Business, Operations, Logistics).

• Quality Systems Process
Complete knowledge and ability to apply knowledge of production quality systems to interpret customer technical concerns. Knowledge of QA (Quality Awareness) organization and procedures used to address customer quality concerns.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Do you have at least five years supplier quality systems experience, as well as aerospace product inspection experience?

Do you have at least five years experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications?

Do you have at least four years experience assessing aerospace databases related to manufacturing, engineering and quality disciplines?

Do you have at least four years experience with Microsoft applications, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook?

Typical Education/Experience
Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Job related information
This position is located in Schaumburg, IL., supporting major suppliers within the North Central United States, and potentially Canada. Frequent travel within the Midwestern United States is required; travel to Canada may also be required.
