Title Supply Chain Analyst
Job Description Eaton Corporation located in Sumter, SC has an opening for a Supply Chain Analyst. As a direct report of the Supply Chain Manager, responsibilities of the Supply Chain Analyst include, but are not limited to:
Analyze material requirements and availability. Assist buyers in the procurement and expediting of routine and moderately complex advanced purchase material. Monitor and maintain financial/physical inventory levels to meet plant's goals. Forecast future requirements to supply base.
Essential daily functions of the Supply Chain Analyst include, but are not limited to:
Monitor production schedule to reschedule or cancel open orders and dispose of any non-applied material as directed. Arrange and coordinate premium transportation and overtime charges with carriers when warranted authorized by ate the computer database and assure the latest purchasing information to include lead times and cost are available to all plant personnel.
Keep abreast of latest computer tools and their application to material control and planning.
Compile and distribute unapplied (excess) materials list providing cost, cause, age, style number and pose of unapplied (excess) materials as required and authorized by management.
Interpret, maintain and initiate appropriate procurement actions in response to Panelboard/Switchboard/WLI Allocation System. Review material inventory level, identify areas of improvement and recommend action to obtain the needed inventory level. Work with Storeroom management to improve inventory availability and accuracy. Perform cycle counts of components and analyze cycle count information to determine root cause and corrective action. Resolve all errors by research and auditing of transactions.

Job Qualifications
/Educational Requirements Required at the time of application:
Bachelors degree in business administration or accounting; Global Supply Chain Operations Management preferred
Minimum four (4) years experience in inventory control or purchasing in a manufacturing environment. Two (2) years prior expediting experience and computerized inventory control system.
