Supply Chain Analyst
Job Summary
Drive supplier development initiatives, including supplier performance management, supplier certification, process improvements, cost reduction, supplier forums, lean integration, audits, selection, SCAPA.
Special focus on supplier audit strategy, coordination, action plans and CAPA recommendations.
Provide project management support to assist the team in the completion of new product introductions with emphasis on vended product. Supports the goals for the launch dates, ensuring the qualification and selection of suppliers and coordination of all other supplier related pre-launch activities.
Responsible for all operational activities associated with product Phase-Out and Obsolescence activities with Suppliers.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
• Work with procurement team to improve overall supplier performance
• Drive supplier development initiatives and performance management
• Drive improvement in the procurement process
• Reduce procurement costs
• Organize annual supplier forums
• Select Suppliers using prescribed process; Research & qualify new suppliers
• Negotiate, establish and monitor supplier agreements
• Coordinate supplier audit strategy and action plan
• Responsible for supplier stakeholder meetings and communication
• Track all supplier CAPAs and SBRA scores
• Collaborate with R&D for vendor selection and new product deliverables
• Manage quotes and costing information for new product introductions
• Managing the order entry, inventory tracking of new product introductions
• Ensure new products are launched in accordance with divisional purchasing controls and inventory optimization
• Manage product phase out and obsolescence activities with marketing, product development, operations, customer service, distribution
Qualifications/Work Experience
• 1-3 years in supply chain, purchasing or logistics
• Demonstrated collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills (relationship management)
• Knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk factors
• Knowledge of supplier management IT systems (Agile, Oracle, SAP, SRMs, CRMs, iSupply or related) preferred
• Demonstrated detail orientation
• Experience with supplier metrics and measurement methodologies preferred
• Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to collect, interpret and/or analyze complex data and information
• Proficient in basic computer programs including MS Office Suite
Education/Special Training
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management or related field
