Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for planning and controlling the production of domestically produced products, imported goods, and inventory levels for Care Chemicals North America with the objective of providing the highest level of customer service at the least total cost.
* Leads Sales and Operational Planning team meetings. * Establishment of inventory targets based on the financial cash flow and reliability service objectives of the business group. * Develops master production schedules and purchase plans in support of inventory targets, customer service goals and manufacturing efficiencies for manufactured and imported materials. * Recommends and pursues appropriate disposition of returned, damaged, aged and off-spec inventory with marketing or plant personnel as required. * Monitors sales forecasts vs. actual sales, inventory levels and production schedules for deviation from plan initiatives and develops corrective action. * Identifies, coordinates and maximizes opportunities to provide a competitive advantage in customer service and inventory management * Defines and leads projects targeted to specific opportunities in SCM * Works with the business Leadership Team to develop strategies and plans in establishing customer and supplier partnerships to include all areas in the optimization of our supply chains
Qualifications
* BA/BS degree in Business, Logistics, or related field. * 3- 6 years experience in a multi channel supply chain environment * Strong analytical skills, along with a thorough knowledge of current SCM concepts * Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills * Excellent internal and external customer focus * Experienced in working effectively at plant and corporate levels in and across a functional environment * Demonstrate ability to effectively lead projects and to develop improvement ideas * Highly motivated and enthusiastic self-starter * Working knowledge of an MRPII (SAP or equivalent) system. APO a plus * Experience within a cGMP manufacturing environment. * APICS certification or nearing completion of certification. * Knowledge of querying/database/spreadsheet applications.
