SUMMARY
The function educates/ trains personnel involved with welding support groups such as engineering, quality control and management. The technical courses are comprised of approximately 80 % classroom and 20 % laboratory demonstration.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for classroom instruction of welding and welding related subjects as outlined in the various course descriptions, as well as manipulative skill instruction as needed, using the various arc welding processes.
* Prepare course materials, classrooms and laboratories for courses
* Update course materials as needed
* Handle telephone inquiries
* Assist in Conducting in-plant and specialized training
* Assist in various trade shows as required
* Maintain impeccable housekeeping
* Perform other duties as required
required Skill, Knowledge and Abilities
* 3-5 years welding related experience required
* Formal Training from a Welding Program, Collage or Institute
* Experience in Blueprint Reading, Fabricating and/or Pipe Layout
* Ability to use MS Office Tools (Power Point, Word, Excel) and Internet Based Applications
* Local Travel and Overnight Travel as required at management request.
* Excellent communication skills oral and in writing.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills (listening and speaking)
* Team player mentality and foster team work.
DESIREDSkill, Knowledge and Abilities
* Ability to complete AWS Certified Welding Inspector and Welding Supervisor Course
* Welding Inspection Experience desirable
* HIWT Structural & Pipe Welding Diploma preferred
* Experience in professional seminars, speaking a plus.
