Ridge Tool is a division of Emerson, a Fortune 100 company (NYSE: EMR) that supplies engineered solutions to address challenging problems around the world. Primary duties under the general direction of and reporting to the Regional Manager are:
* Demonstrate system solutions and provide expert product knowledge to national organizations and end users. * Execute strategic initiatives to engage the top professional end users accounts and within assigned markets to capture market share, grow sales and build strong relationships. Duties and Responsibilities The Territory Manager is accountable for the growth in sales, market share, and profit of the Portland territory. Operate within the trending and budget guidelines established by the Regional Manager. * Identify and execute upon opportunities with key professional end user accounts to convert competitive product to the Ridgid brand. * Deliver product presentations and hands on experiences. * Focus on new products and solutions. * Support regional and national organizations through training and special initiative execution. * Provide key support in such areas as, product training and event participation. * Building value added relationships with key organizations and end users in the market * Be the expert for Ridge Tool's breadth of line as well as the competitor's. * Investigate and develop relationships with professional tool system users whether it is at jobsites, offices or tool cribs. Delivering the brand message to end users. * Support and implement strategic corporate brand marketing initiatives. * Cultivate end user demand and build brand champions through end user calls, creative programs and training. * Attract the next generation of end users through efforts with trade schools and apprentice programs. * Utilize available resources to put tools in the hands of the end user. Providing feedback from the field to corporate management regarding: * Product and application trends related to new product development. * Quality and performance of Ridgid products. * Trends in competition, end users and channels of distribution. * Market acceptance of new product launches.
