Kelly IT Resources is currently recruiting for Validation Engineers in the greater Hillsboro, OR area.
Summary: This project requires individual validation of the client and server parts as well as end to end validation ensuring that product meets performance, power and reliability goals.
Responsibilities: Develop validation plan, develop validation test suites & execute these tests. All results would be systematically recorded and on a daily basis, results of the testing will be shared with the development team & management. Candidate will also setup and maintain lab equipment related to performance and power measurement. Also will be running regression tests, prepare reports for management, track & present bug/stability trends at the overall project level as well at the ingredient level.
Necessary skills: Strong C, C++, and Java skills Strong scripting skills preferably with Perl 3-5 years of hands on experience with test development, scripting tools, validation of a system-level solution on PC platform Demonstrated ability for Windows & Linux based testing of product components Ability to set up multiple test beds and drive multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrated ability to track bugs in bug tracking data base and handle disposition of each known problem Ability to use Excel/PowerPoint and other software tools to record data, create presentations on the results, present the results to the team Ability to document crucial software components and procedures; Highly disciplined & strong organizational skills; Strong team player;
Nice to have skills: Windows programming experience a strong plus Experience with web development /testing is a strong plus Experience with virtual machines a plus Familiarity with Linux Good understanding of PC hardware components; Ability to assemble PC systems Knowledge of Subversion and ClearQuest Good written and oral communication skills
