Validation Test Technician
Developing network software and hardware that forms part client*s line of networking connections. This project is testing these networking products in the Windows Hyper-V Environment. Daily Responsibilities: Testing is a combination of manual procedures and automated scripts. Tests will be executed and results collected and submitted for review and reporting. For procedures that are manual, new testing scripts will be developed and debugged. Existing and new testing scripts will be maintained. Necessary Skills: * Hands-on Windows Servers experience with some knowledge of Linux * Experience developing scripts in VB, PowerShell, Batch, etc * Experience loading drivers and hardware * Understanding of TCP/IP and layer 2 networking and switch configuration. * Timeliness, attention to detail, flexibility, positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills. * Skill set is slightly different than our recent positions in that we are looking for someone to work in the Windows Hyper-V environment, not open source/Linux Additional Skills Desired: Previous validation/testing experience with device drivers and/or the Windows Hyper-V environment.
