Description
The VT has overall responsibility for the quality of the products from that supplier to all Gore plants during normal commercial running and has an involvement with the development of new products and new vendors.
The VTs are the experts on the suppliers technical stability, capabilities, strength and weaknesses. They ensure the supplier is providing raw materials to the agreed raw material specification.
They also manage raw fabric quality metrics and systems and drive ongoing raw materials technical improvements.
Technical & quality consultant for new textile developments and labdipping
Provide feedback to Vendors on performance to Specification. Facilitate & manage the different plant quality issues to the vendor
Agree goals and targets for improvement at Vendors .Drive continuous improvement process at vendor and Verify their corrective and preventative actions.
Be involved in PE/NPD/Production teams to understand the processing and product characteristics , Support internal quality reviews on vendor issues
Investigate and respond to customer complaints when they are influenced by raw material quality/issues.
Involvement in the supplier selection process
Qualifications
1. Textile qualification is must.
2. min. 3 years experience working in the textile industry, e.g weaving, knitting, dyeing &finishing, yarn knowledge
3. High communication skills in English both written and verbal.
4. Flexible & willing to travel.
5. To be able to influence a supplier and turnround critical situation, Be able to work and communicate on all organisational levels.
6. Experience in project management
7. Good in team work
8. Good descision making skills in a variety of situations
9. Have understanding about test methods, standards, specifications
10. Good negotiation skills, problem solving skills and analytical thinking.
11. Demonstrated success in leading projects or team in a multi-culture environment is preferred.
