Virtual Tryout Engineer
The Virtual Tryout Engineer is responsible for performing virtual tryout stamping on new programs and programs that are currently ieve formability and geometric tolerance resolutions per CPCP gates by performing draw die, secondary die development and port Advanced Stamping Manufacturing Engineering (ASME) hard tool and homeline tryout using virtual tryout results.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in engineering required
• Minimum of Five (5) years' experience in Advanced Stamping Manufacturing Engineering (ASME)
• Training in the following:
• Finite element analysis
• GD&T
• Sheet metal materials
• Manufacturing process
• 6-sigma
• Computational mechanics
• Both computer and real world experience resolving formability and dimensional resolution
• Experience with PC/Linux, Autoform/LS-Dyna/Pamstamp, and Catia/NX
• Experience with Lotus notes database, MS-Office, and statistics (standard deviation, sigma, DoE)
Preferred Qualifications: • Advanced degree in engineering preferred
• Team player who is creative, hardworking, and an excellent communicator, capable of using data to gain consensus
• Able to communicate using ""die maker"" terminology
