Job Description: GENCO has an immediate opening for a 2nd shift Team Lead for our 450,000 sq ft facility located in Minooka IL with approximately 60 Team Lead will work Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. The primary responsibility of the Team Lead is to assist the Supervisor with daily administrative duties and mentor new teammates to ensure optimal success of the department.
The Team Lead is responsible for:
* Providing assistance to the Warehouse Supervisor
* Maneuvering a forklift and/or pallet jack through limited space areas; verifying counts and products shipped/received
* Determining inbound product is received in accordance with our customer and GENCO's prescribed guidelines
* Working in a safe manner while following all safety policies and procedures
* Coordinating the workflow in the department, assigning work to the teammates, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of product
* Ensuring departmental key performance indicators are being met, indentifing in advance when and why they may not be met and notifying the Supervisor. * Mentoring and creating a team atmosphere. Seeking opportunities to improve self, teammates, and processes with internal and external training
* Handling teammate concerns and situations in a positive, professional manner. Coaching teammates through problems to ensure a positive outcome for the organization and the teammate. * Reporting disciplinary issues to the Supervisor and working through resolution with the Supervisor
* Insuring smooth transition of new staff from the training environment to the department and providing additional floor training when appropriate. Requirements: The successful candidate will have:
* Two (2) years of experience involved in performing work in a warehouse
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications required
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Previous experience with a warehouse management system preferred
* Must have excellent problem solving and decision making skills
* Must be a team player, self-motivated and committed to quality
