Warehouse Supervisor Inventory 12am-8:30am Tracking Code 999699 Job Description DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervises Shipping department workflow to ensure optimum service levels and RE (reasonable expectancies) is maintained. Monitors appropriate shipping areas to ensure proper service levels are maintained. Ensures dock area is secure. Oversees service levels to ensure delivery trucks depart on time and as scheduled and ensures back-up delivery service if required. Supervises loading of drop shipments into delivery trucks. Prepares bills of lading. Resolves customer issues. Utilizes AL system to perform daily uploads and closeouts. Monitors and orders loose-fill (peanuts) material. Conducts weekly department meetings to foster communication and discuss improvement opportunities. Operates basic and advanced warehouse vehicles (i.e., electric pallet jack, forklift, turret truck and/or order picker). Delegates to/through work team coach to ensure smooth processes flow. Promotes safe work practices. Tracks and submits weekly reports regarding catalog shipments and transfers processed. Attends cross-functional meetings regarding new procedures or improvements to the current system. Resolves manifest issues, as needed. Documents attendance, submits payroll information, and conducts reviews for large associate base. Performs all duties inherent in the role of MSC supervisor as defined in the MSC code of conduct including hiring, termination, review and development of associates. Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission. In order to meet customer service requirements, associates can be temporarily re-assigned to other warehouse functions. Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required. Required Skills EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or the equivalent required. Minimum of two years job-related experience required. SKILLS:Knowledge of MSC's product offerings required. Computer proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software required. Knowledge of AS/400 and Manifest systems required. Basic computer literacy required. Basic knowledge of packing and shipping process. Must obtain MSC license to drive Customer Fulfillment Center vehicles within specified time requirements. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Bending to lift items from the floor and racks required. Lifting items between 25 and 50 pounds required. Ability to operate at heights up to 50 feet required.
